Families Continuous Attitude Survey (FAMCAS) 2017

Families Continuous Attitude Survey (FAMCAS) 2017. On 23 Jan 2017 Army Headquarters distributed the FAMCAS to 12,000 personnel Army-wide for completion by their spouses/civil partners.

Last year more than 3,300 spouses/civil partners expressed their views about being part of an Army family. The evidence provided by this survey is made even more compelling if greater numbers reply.

If you receive a survey, by post or by email, for your spouse/civil partner please ensure that it is passed on quickly and encourage them to complete it. The opinions of spouses are highly valued and help to influence government policy and your terms and conditions of Service. All responses will be treated in the strictest confidence, will not be seen by the Army and are subsequently destroyed by the contractor who gathers the information.

The survey closes on 02 May 2017

Save 1/3 on Rail Travel

The HM Forces Railcard costs £15 and it'll save you 1/3 on most rail fares throughout Great Britain for a whole year. That works out to under £2 a month for huge savings. You're eligible if you're a member of the Regular Forces or a spouse of a member, for more details see eligibility.

There are plenty of ways you can use your Railcard, for both long and short trips. Better still you can use it anytime on weekends, Public Holidays and during the week. The only restriction is that if you travel before 10am Monday to Friday (except during July and August) a minimum fare will apply. For more details see minimum fares.

Your HM Forces Railcard will save you 1/3 on many tickets. As with most things in life, there are some exceptions, so take a look at the ticket types you can and can't make savings on with your HM Forces Railcard.

Transport to Audley End from Carver

DaRT 2 service is now to serve Audley End station and residents from the parishes covered by this service will be able to travel directly to Audley End station.  This includes residents of Wimbish and Carver Barracks.
See above leaflet how to book this transport
As the journey from Carver Barracks to Audley End Station is a new addition to the DaRT 2 service, unlike journeys that were replaced by DaRT 2 service on a similar basis, there is no schedule at the moment.  What passengers need to do is contact the Operator (preferably as a group) to arrange times and days they wish to go to Audley End Station, then eventually a schedule may be put together.  At this stage the Operator does not know the times and days passengers wish to travel, and has actually contacted us regarding this yesterday.

Passengers should contact the Operator (contact details above).  Please bear in mind that as this is not a taxi service, it is unlikely that individual requests can be met.
